So far so good. I bought this mostly for the times when I travel with my Service Dog. It's handy to be able to release only as much water as I desire and if she doesn't finish it all I can push the button and back in the water goes (into the bottle). I like the design and it's functionality. Well done!
This works just as advertised. The water had never spilled on me. It does have a carbon filter but I always fill it with purified water anyway to prevent any infections/bacteria. The only con I can think of is that you can't drink from it and I know some other bottles come with caps to serve your pup/cat some of your water but I prefer this as it is quick and easy for your pet to drink. So here is the thing. I bought this to travel to training classes with my baby husky. She loves water breaks and carrying around a bowl and bottles of water or refilling it with water from a faucet or another source where I don't know the water quality is unsettling. Sure I know she's a dog. But not to me. She is my baby and a part of my family so I want the best for her. I feed her wheat free food and want to make sure the water quality is great for her too. So here's my review. I can say honestly that I truly love this water bottle. It is ingenious in the development. There is a carbon filter that you can use to filter out the junk in the water you can't see. Just make sure you soak the filter and rinse it off prior to first use. The ability to flip the switch and press down to dispense water without it all coming out is great. The switch also works to prevent water from leaking out. If it is off then the button can not be pressed and water will not come out. It comes with a simple wrist strap that you can attach, similar to those used on digital cameras. My dog is able to lap the water out easily and any water that she doesn't drink I have two options. One is to dump it out of the reservoir or two is to push the button down and the water will reverse back into the bottle. This is great when you are traveling in the car or somewhere where you can't get rid of the extra water. Cleanup is easy. I normally fill and refrigerate the bottle the day before class so she has fresh water ready to go. So, that being said...there is one thing I would like to point out. If water is left in the bottle for a couple of days you will notice black specs in the water. Do not be alarmed, this is just part of the carbon/charcoal filter. It won't hurt your baby. You can just dump the water and refill it if you prefer. I do have to say I spent more money on this than I thought I would at around $20, but it was well worth it. You will be very happy with it. I know my baby girl is.
