Our kitten is only 5 months old, and she completely surprised us by using the robot litter box from day one. It’s been such a great experience so far—we’re still using manual mode for scooping, but she adapted instantly!

Yes I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Potty like this. There are a lot out there that only use 2.4 WiFi but this one takes 5 WiFi so the setup is not so difficult. I have 2 cat's and only one will use it. But it is worth the money. And easy access built strong

I like it because it defenatly made my life easier. The problem is that I still need to clean the box itself inside from the vet spots. Also it keeps stopping from cleaning because cat appears but no cat around, which is annoying. And the third is i dont feel that weight info is accurate.

Other than that Great machine, wonder if it is that much better than cheaper options

Reduced poops on floor from open litter boxes not clean enough for some Divas, have to watch after adding litter as weight change will stop auto cleaning until you reset.
Barrel comes off easy after taking off magnetic side and lifting lever to unlock. I still use my saved Publix and Walmart bags for litter in this device, just have to make sure it's in good. Constantly sprays the scented material after use.

Wanted to wait until it had been a while before reviewing, (kind of a long one but they’re in depth answers to questions I had when I was looking into this purchase) we’ve had this now for about 4+ months. Cat took to this right away/loves this and so do we, every Tuesday trash day it’s so convenient to just take the bag out with the cans to the curb and replace it especially for my significant other too. We messed around with the settings for about the first week or two to see what worked best for our cat before figuring out what she liked, found that giving it 3-5 mins before cycling helped wait out her curiosity so she would move on and not trigger the sensor again trying to watch the cleaning or “spin cycle”. If you have the space, as it’s kind of a spaceship so check your measurements plus some surrounding space (also make sure you have an outlet or a nice extension cord as well as we found the provided cable a bit too short for our laundry room), but I think it’s definitely worth it. There’s no scooping and also not really any smell besides the N30/N60 diffusers but I can only speak as a single cat house that empty’s the trash weekly. If you don’t like the provided diffusers smell as some have mentioned (it’s like that in order to mask the poop) you could definitely get one of those plug ins or bathroom timer spray diffusers instead, but for us nothing from the litterbox travels farther than maybe a yard away max. We also have a contingency wall plug in right outside of the laundry room, where the litterbox is, in case guests walk by and our cat just happened to use the restroom at the same time as that can be a bit unavoidable. Our dog had a habit of getting into our old automatic litterbox as a form of acting out which is a big reason for us getting this and it’s completely fixed that issue for obvious reasons. If we had 2 cats I think only emptying the trash weekly would still not be an issue with smell or fill concerns depending on your cats bathroom use, we just like to keep on top of it. We bought the bags (and diffusers) in bulk and keep them in the laundry room cupboard but we’re still working through the first roll of bags, I don’t mind spending the money on them and this spaceship as it’s SAVED US IMMENSE MONEY on litter. The cost has and will continue to come back to us tenfold in savings, and our neat freak cat loves the cleanliness.
Note: I have a spayed female cat with IBS so the waste fills up a bit quicker but no other bathroom concerns so overall I haven’t run into any issues with the machine, we have also never owned any litter robots so I can’t speak to their owner experience. I personally however HATED the automatic rake style litterbox.
Cons: The only con is the double press OK button for maintenance, it’s kind of annoying the wait and to figure it out at first but I also understand it’s there as a safety feature for my cat and I’m honestly just kind of impatient so take that with a grain of salt.
Camera?: (I work at a vet) I do agree that the camera is important for monitoring any future health concerns and if you’re probably going to be spending this kind of money already it’s best to just do it now so that you don’t have to in the future. Also the weight tracking is maybe even more beneficial to monitor loss/gain as that can be a HUGE early indicator of health concerns especially in cats as they typically don't show pain/symptoms.

I own every generation of PETKIT’s litter boxes except the Purobot Ultra, and I genuinely appreciate how they improve with each release - the Purobot Max Pro is no exception.

One of the standout features is the AI camera. It’s surprisingly useful. I can view live footage or recording to know exactly which cat did what, which is great for tracking behavior or spotting any changes in litter habits.

The litter bin design is much improved. I love that its edge is made of soft silicon, which makes changing the bag a lot easier. The built-in lace-tightening spot is a small but super thoughtful detail. Also, the bin seems bigger than the previous model, which is a welcome change for multi-cat households like mine.

As always, the motion sensor is excellent, which gives peace of mind in terms of safety - especially with curious cats that like to check things out mid-cycle.

Overall, it’s a great iteration. If I had one suggestion, it would be to include the entrance fence by default to help prevent pee leakage - not every cat needs it, but it only takes one to make cleanup harder.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smart, well-designed automatic litter box!

I’ve been using the PUROBOT MAX PRO for almost a month now after switching from the Pura X, which I used for 4 years. This new model is a huge improvement in almost every way.

The odor control is much better — the new solid deodorizer cartridges are a big step up from the liquid ones, and I barely notice any smell now. The waste bin is better sealed and holds more, so I’m not emptying it as often, and it’s cleaner overall.

I also noticed the base material is improved. It feels more solid and easier to wipe down compared to the rubbery texture of the Pura X. Cleaning the barrel is simple too since it opens up more easily.

The built-in camera seemed like a gimmick at first, but I’ve actually found it really useful to check on the cats and see if the box is being used or needs attention when I’m not home.

Setup was super easy, and the app works great. If you’re already used to PETKIT or just want a smart, low-maintenance litter box, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s been working perfectly so far.

As a longtime user of the Pura X, I was truly impressed by the new Purobot Max Pro! The price is more affordable compared to the Purobot Ultra, yet it still offers great features—including a built-in camera. Watching my cat use the litter box is unexpectedly entertaining!

One of my favorite features is the waste covering setup, my big boy is not great at covering his own pee, so sometimes the litter doesn’t clump too well. With the covering setup, the litter tumbles twice before dumping, leaving no pee residue in the bottom.

Another improvement is the way it handles litter—it feels much better than the first generation, and there’s no litter leaking from the bottom.

The only downside? I find myself watching my cat use the litter box way too often… which makes me feel a bit creepy 😂. But hey, Garfield loves his attention, he always scream for me when he’s in the toilet.

PETKIT really did some improvement on their products, I’m happy with my purchase and so is my big orange boy. He loves his new toilet.

I’ve attached a few photos and a video. The photos show the Petkit app, which I love for its user-friendly interface and thoughtful design. It’s easy to track which of my cats used the litter box (or just visited), how often they go, and their weight.

The video shows my biggest cat, Pumpkin, inside the litter box. You’ll notice that when another one of my cats approaches, the sensor detects her and the cycle stops. Another aspect I appreciate about the Purobot Max Pro is that it never fully closes while cycling, adding an extra layer of safety. This is something I am always looking for when choosing an automatic litter box.

There’s so much more I could say, but I’ll save the details for a future update. For now, I can confidently say that the Purobot Max Pro, with its AI camera, is a perfect fit for me and my four cats!

I love everything about this other than the litter section is too low and small. My cat, Moira, is pretty standard in size, so nothing remarkable about her in that regard. She doesn’t squat as low as she could if the space inside for her to actually relieve herself was a little bit larger. I have watched her use a standard litter box, an upgraded litter box with fans, and now this.

She urinates higher than the maximum level of the litter and it gets into the cracks and when it cleans itself, the liquid rolls around to the other side which causes it to leak out. The quality of the product is good, the functionality is mostly there but has its design flaws; not not perfect, but I don’t expect it to be. Overall, happy with it, but it does require more cleaning than advertised and expected. It’s very quiet and the smell is nearly nonexistent. Most people don’t even know I have a cat in the house.

Overall, pleased but the pods, the bags and add-on accessories are not efficient whatsoever. I say the bags because they want you to use one tire I’ve standard waste, then another one to empty the unit when cleaning. I don’t. I disassemble the unit and dump it out in a regular garbage liner when taking out the kitchen garbage; saving the extra car litter waste bag for the actual waste, not just emptying the entire box during the cleaning process.

The value would be better if the price was reduced, or it came with the accessories to remedy their mishaps with the unit. By that I mean the shield for the door the steps, and the storage unit to go above it.

This is the second Petkit litter box I have. The first one is Purax, I have a good experience so I am excited to try the upgraded version.
Pro:
1. The size of this litter box is big, enough space for a big cat
2. Setup of the machine and installation of the bag and odor eliminator is easy, took me less than 15 mins to finish
3. I like the set comes with the bag, and order eliminator to start. The scent is very nice.
4. I like the concept with the camera. My cat needs to be monitored so I can check how he is doing inside the litter box. The video is clear enough.
5. App is easy to use. I can also setup schedule through the app.
Con:
I like everything about this litter box except the playback function. I was expecting with this price, the camera would have a record function included. But it only includes 30 days free trial. After that, you can only see live when your pet go inside the box. Or you have to pay a monthly fee which is very disappointed. I hope the company can cancel the subscription function and just include the function with no extra cost.

Basing my opinion on recent experience with my cat, I believe that buying a little robot with a camera is well worth it. I noticed through my litter robot that my cat has been using her litter box with abnormally high frequency. This observation has made me more alert and attentive when she is around.
My observations indicated that she made multiple trips to her litter box within a span of 20 minutes the day before yesterday. While one might argue that these behaviors can be caught with careful observation, I would counter that without the camera in my litter robot, I would not be able to answer the vet's question about whether my cat is urinating when she uses the litter box.
Since I have another cat and they share a litter box, it is challenging to determine this just by watching. One would need to stay home and intentionally check the litter box after the specific cat has done her business. While it is possible to observe this, the camera in the litter robot allows me to easily review video footage of her using the litter box multiple times.
This capability provides a comprehensive view of her five trips and how many times she produced very little urine. Overall, this expensive purchase of a little robot has proven to be well worth it.

I gave it 4 stars because I think it would be better if the space inside the litter box was larger, allowing my cats to better maneuver themselves and pee more towards the center rather than the edge of the litter bed and the wall inside of the litter box. Also, the product has been having issues with estimating the weight of my cats lately (apparently due to "improper toileting"). I will need to work on this.

This product works great and WILL NOT KILL YOUR CAT. I wanted to get that out of the way. Yes, it rotates up and to the back. It does not have any pinch points.
Caution: Do no place against a wall, as that will create a pinch point when it rotates back to clean.

So far this product has worked well. It has a camera on the inside of the unit that looks at your cat taking a dumb. Very nice. It also weights your cat to let you know how much of a sucker you are...or not.

Comes with deodorizers,, but I don't like them so I threw them in the trash. I'd be fine with activated charcoal if that was an option. One of my cats likes it so far. The sensor works well and stops immediately every time she looks at it.

recommended buy. Litter is easy to change with a plate and the poop bag is large. Makes cleaning WAY better.

I have 2 cats, a ragdoll and a British shorthair. They have a previous version of the PETKIT toilet in the cat room but they love using the litter box in my bathroom so I decided to get this new version. It fits perfectly in my bathroom. What I like the most about it is that it has built in camera that gets triggered when my pet gets near it and when they use it. It also tells me the weight of my pets after they go, much much easier than trying to hold them with me on a scale. This one also has the button to empty the litter box, which is great when I want to clean the litter box or try to empty it to transport it to my parents’ house for cat sitting.
